How the Scholarship Works
- Annual awards for aspiring college-level vocalists and musicians
- Adjudicated auditions with professional judges
- Performance opportunities with the Opera Club
Eligibility
- You must be graduating from a Lake, Marion, or Sumter County high school or academy in spring 2026;
- You must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0;
- You must be majoring or minoring in music at the college or university of your choice beginning with the 2026–27 academic year;
- Applications and additional Schwartz competition information will be posted here and shared with area schools in fall 2025. Check back for details.

Application Materials

- High school transcript (minimum GPA 3.0)
- Proof of residency (Lake, Marion, or Sumter County)
- Audition repertoire list
- Two recommendation letters
