How the Scholarship Works

  • Annual awards for aspiring college-level vocalists and musicians
  • Adjudicated auditions with professional judges
  • Performance opportunities with the Opera Club

Eligibility

  • You must be graduating from a Lake, Marion, or Sumter County high school or academy in spring 2026;
  • You must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0;
  • You must be majoring or minoring in music at the college or university of your choice beginning with the 2026–27 academic year;
  • Applications and additional Schwartz competition information will be posted here and shared with area schools in fall 2025. Check back for details.

Application Materials

  • Completed application form (online or downloadable)
  • High school transcript (minimum GPA 3.0)
  • Proof of residency (Lake, Marion, or Sumter County)
  • Audition repertoire list
  • Two recommendation letters
